Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has been reported to be en route to becoming fit for Villarreal before their Europa League final clash against Manchester United on Wednesday night.

The Nigerian forward was spotted to be among the Yellow submarine squad that travelled to Gdansk, Poland, where the final winner of the tournament will be decided, with best online casino offering odds to the fans ahead of the game.

Chukwueze was previously stretchered off during the second-leg semi-final clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium as they held the English team to a stalemate.

Their 2-1 victory at home in the first leg of the semi-final saw them pivoted to the final of the tournament to face another English giant, Manchester United, for the battle of the European trophy.

Following his sideline, the 22-year-old winger missed matches against Celta Vigo, Real Valladolid, Sevilla and Real Madrid. After being stretched off during the semi-final return leg, Villarreal club released a club statement saying: “Medical tests carried out on Samuel Chukwueze have confirmed muscular damage to the quadriceps in his left leg, which he picked up during the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final against Arsenal FC,” a club statement read.

“The recovery time depends on the player’s progress.”

Considering the latest development with the player, he might just be included in the Unai Emery’s squad set to face off against the Red Devils, having just returned from the sidelines.

Chukwueze remains a pivotal part of the Villarreal team this campaign, and he had been formidable in finding the back of the net in his last four La Liga games when he registered three goals.

He has been able to register five goals and six assists in 39 matches in all competitions this season, and while he is not much of a goalscorer, the Nigerian forward remains a pivotal player in the Villarreal team.

Villareal ended their 2020/21 campaign seventh on the La Liga table with a total of 58 points, just three points short of Real Betis who sits at the sixth position with 61 points, which was predicted by several real money casinos at the beginning of the season.

Chukwueze will be hoping to secure his first major trophy with Villarreal ever since his arrival at the Spanish club from Diamond Football Academy is having helped the Nigeria U-17 team win the 2017 FIFA World Cup in Chile. He was named the third-best player in the tournament behind Johannes Eggestein and Victor Osimhen.

He broke through to Villarreal’s senior team, from the third tier, in a Europa League game against Scottish club Rangers when he was subbed in as a replacement for Nicola Sansone.

His performance for Villarreal saw him named in 2019’s Golden Boy 40-man shortlist. Villarreal will be hoping just as much as Chukwueze to be in contention for the team squad as they aim to go all out in their battle for the European trophy against Manchester United.
