If you’re heading to Atlantic City in the coming weeks or months, then chances are you’re scouring the web for ideas of interesting things to do. You’ll be spoiled for choice as Atlantic City offers a bunch of fun activities no matter whether you’re headed there on a work trip, to visit family, or just for a vacation

1. Cape May National Wildlife Refuge
This expansive Wildlife Refuge is the perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of Atlantic City. At the moment with many people choosing to social distance, this is a great option to explore. If you’re looking for something free to do then this might be the perfect option for you. There are so many winding trails and lots of beautiful birds to see, so be sure to pack some binoculars and some bug spray. Just check the opening hours in advance as it’s not open every day.

2. Ocean Casino Resort
There’s something extra thrilling about visiting a casino when you’re away. After all what could make a holiday better than winning big? Atlantic City has a number of great options to visit, such as the Ocean Casino Resort. Of course when you’re planning to visit a casino, I always suggest it be sensible to set a budget before you walk in the door and don’t let yourself go above that. I also suggest before you place a single dollar down that you learn how to play slots. Learning how to play properly will ensure that you are more likely to win.

3. Atlantic City Boardwalk
I’m a big fan of boardwalks, and even more so when they have striking views. The Atlantic City Boardwalk does not disappoint! This wonderful attraction is open 24/7 and I definitely suggest planning both a day time visit and an evening visit so you can see the different vistas in the daytime and then again at night with all the sparkling lights. The boardwalk is also scattered with some great gift shops, restaurants and even a beach to explore!

4. Absecon Lighthouse
This is a coastal lighthouse located in the north part of Atlantic City, New Jersey with views over Absecon Inlet. It is the third tallest lighthouse in the United States and was constructed over the period of 1854-1857. Although the light is on all night, it is no longer a functional lighthouse and is instead open to tourists. For a small donation you can visit it and climb to the top for sweeping views. Be prepared for a lot of steps, but it’s worth it, I promise!

5. New Jersey Korean War Memorial

This is a beautiful tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend their country. Located on the Atlantic City boardwalk, it’s worth taking the time to visit. Numerous different stories from war heroes are shared here, so you can learn more about their experiences and what many of them had to overcome to make it home.

Atlantic City has so much to offer, making it a wonderful holiday destination. Hopefully these top 5 best things to do in Atlantic City inspire your next trip.
